Last minute show tonight

A couple of minutes ago I was invited to support Mysterious Marta (Iceland) and Ivar (HB) tonight at Urblaub Couchclub in Bremen. Their support had to cancel and now I jump in. If you accidentially read this, come over and say hi.

Recording Sessions

When I wasn't on stage I spent this whole year recording. And I also spent it with throwing away what I have recorded. In the end I recorded my debut album whole four times until I was (finally) satisfied. The record went through a lot of changes starting with the tracklist. Many songs were sorted out in the end and replaced by songs I wrote during the different sessions. The arrangements changed completely. Instead of recording the whole record on my own (as it was planned in the beginning) I invited Haruko to join me in July. Blessedly she did and she left her unique fingerprint on the recordings. She adds some fingerpicking and her voice on all songs except "the old lone moon". Thank you for helping me out, my dear!

Now it is time to do the mixing and that. I really can't say when things are done - but it will take a while until it is ready to be released. If you'd like to get a notification when the record is available leave me an Email.

In the meantime I put together an EP called 'death was a stranger' I sell on shows. It features two album tracks and two outtakes. Your can stream this EP on last.fm.

Songs & Whispers-Tour

At the end of August Haruko and me will be joining the Songs & Whispers tour-circuit. We put together some kind of duo-set with songs from us both. There are 14 shows in the northern states of Germany, mainly around Bremen. On each night there are 2h of stagetime to share between three acts so all of us are going to play 35-40 minutes sets. The other acts are Solo from Utrecht, Netherlands and Cue Fanfare from Bristol, England. It will be a nice thing to introduce my music to another audience, I guess. The next serious gigs here in Bremen will take place later this year at the Lagerhaus. On the 25th of September I will be supporting Palm Springs and Jane Bartholomew from the UK. I was invited to this one by Paul from Palm Springs and so I am extremly happy about this show. Four weeks later I'm playing at the Lagerhaus again. On that day it's a show with Haruko and we'll have full stage time.
